PaddleFest! June 14th 2025 - free event

We are excited to host our first Maidenhead PaddleFest on Saturday 14th June 2025.

This will be a celebration of canoeing and kayaking along York Stream starting at 0930 with all welcome to take part. Canoeists, kayakers and paddle boarders will begin at Town Moor and paddle along the stream through Maidenhead town centre to Green Lane weir, then back again. After that there will be separate activities for Scouts in canoes, including free coaching and a water based nature trail. Paddlers can also test their skills with time trials along York Stream. Families on the river bank can also enjoy free entertainment with music from the Devine Buskers in Chapel Arches and at 1100 Teddies Music Club will be hosting a family singalong in the library amphitheatre, ideal for children aged 3-6.

Waterways Fun Day -  September 13th 2025

Following the success of the 2024 Fun Day, this year's free event will be held on September 13th.

As before you can expect fun for all the family with many entertainments like the flight simulator, Bubble Fairy, the Stiltwalking Pirate, the magician (local legend Patrick Ashe), plus several different music acts.

On the water there will be model boats, free boat rides, plus canoe and kayaking displays.

We will also be welcoming back Basil & Co, the mobile farm with young animals for your children to meet close up.
